As I drive by a string of railroad boxcars cannot help but notice the graffiti printed on them.
For this series, I photographed graffiti and then modified the image to create an original piece of art. Although the graffiti artist is unknown, I am the photographer and the artist of the final piece.
I especially like the old graffiti that has been changed by time, the elements, the wear and tear — the graffiti with rust, scrapes and dents. This graffiti has a strange combination of railroad signage art work, and environmental effects. The details and the subtle colors are as important to the final work as the graffiti.
